Unit 1
1. They go as fast as they can.
as…as sb. (one) can = as …as possible 盡可能地……
as…as中間加原級的形容詞或副詞。例:
I will work as hard as I can. 我將盡可能努力工作。
He ran as fast as he could. 他拼命地跑。
Please come here as soon as you can. 請盡快來這里。
2. We call the first Olympic Games the "ancient" Olympics.
我們把早期的運動會叫做"古代"奧運會。
call sb. / sth. +n. 稱呼某人/某物……,后面的名詞作賓語補足語。
例:We call the boy DaMao. 我們稱呼那個男孩大毛。
類似于這種可以用名詞或名詞短語作賓語補足語的動詞有:
name/call/make/choose/find/think等。例:
We chose him our monitor at yesterdays class meeting.
昨天班會我們選他當我們的班長。
I find him a clever boy. 我覺得他是個聰明的孩子。

seem to be +adj.

proud作賓語補足語,修飾賓語your country;
make的用法:
make the bed 鋪床make tea 沏茶
make dumplings 包餃子make a car 制造汽車
be made of 由……制成
make sb. /sth. +n. 使某人/某物成為……
made sb. /sth. +adj. 使某人/某物如何……
make sb. /sth. do 使某人/某物做某事
名詞/形容詞/do (不定式,省to),作賓語補足語。

twentieth 第二十
整十數的序數詞,變y為ie加th。例:
ninety→ninetiethfifty→fiftieth
7. We had such an interesting day at school today.
我們今天在學校度過了這么有趣的一天。
這句話也可以說成:We had so interesting a day at school today.
such和so意思都是"如此……/這樣……",但用法不同。
It is so interesting a film that we all want to see it once more.

此句是if構成的條件狀語從句,要用一般現在時代替將來時。
Ill go to the park with my friends if it doesnt rain tomorrow.
如果明天不下雨,我要和朋友去公園。
9. If he practises walking on pizzas, hell do better next time.
如果他保持練習在比薩餅上走的話,下次他會表現好一些。
finish, enjoy, practise, keep, mind后常加動名詞作賓語。例:
Youd better practise speaking English both in and after class.
你最好在課上課下練習說英語。
Unit 2
1. Our class could play soccer for a week without stopping.
我們班同學可以踢一周足球不休息。
without 介詞,with的反義詞,后加名詞、代詞或doing形式的動詞,有時可以用if從句改寫。例:
Without having breakfast, he hurried to school.
他沒有吃早飯,匆忙上學去了。
Fish cant live without water. 沒有水魚不能活。
If there is no water, fish cant live.
2. Thats very kind of you. 你真是太好了。
還可以說:Thats very nice of you.
3. Wouldnt we get tired? 我們不會累嗎?
此句是否定形式的一般疑問句,常用來表驚訝、責備、贊嘆等語氣。例:
Isnt it beautiful? 它不漂亮嗎? (It is beautiful!)
注意答語:Yes, it is. 不,漂亮

It is +數字+單+形容詞是一個固定句式,用來表達某物(人)多高/長/寬/深等。例:
The river is 10 metres deep.
這條河深10米。
The old man is seventy years old. 這個老人70歲。
Our room is 5 metres wide. 我們教室寬5米。
通常這樣的句子可以用how+形容詞+一般問句構成特殊疑問句。例:
How wide is your room?
How deep is the river?
5. On average, it weighs more than 26 tons.

weigh 動詞,重……多少。
weight n. 重量。例:
The desk weighs 10 kilos. 這書桌重10公斤。
The weight of the desk is 10 kilos.
The desk is 10 kilos heavy.
6. The average blue whale is about four times as big as the biggest elephant.
平均藍鯨是最大的大象的四倍。
four times as+原級+as 是……的幾倍 例:
This room is three times as big as that one.
This is twice bigger than that one.

any other 用在肯定句中后常加單數名詞。
any other 在疑問句和否定句中加復數名詞。例:

some more 更多一些,后加可數或不可數名詞。

while (when) 當……時,時間狀語從句。
當從句的主語和主句的主語一致或是it時,在時間、條件、讓步從句中且從句中的謂語動詞含有be時,則可以省略從句的主語和be。例:
I will go to visit Beijing if (it is) possible.
Although (I am) ugly, I am gentle.

1. Why dont we think of things that our classmates want to buy?

Why dont we(you)+do …?= Why not + do…?
為什么不做……?常用來提出建議。例:
Why not go and see her?

類似提出建議的表示還有:

在感官聽覺動詞see, watch, notice, look at, hear, listen to等詞后,用省略的to的動詞不定式作賓語補足語。當變成被動語態時,要恢復to。例:
We often heard them argue next door.
我們常聽見他們在隔壁爭吵。
I saw him walk into the headmasters office.
我看到他走進校長的辦公室。
He was noticed to come in the room.

3. Sometimes, business English is hard to understand.

此句是用來尋問價錢的,還可以用whats the price of來表示。

Its not good to speak when you have meals.

6. To hold up posters, maps and other papers.
動詞不定式做目的狀語。動詞不定式作目的狀語時,可以將其放于句首,也可以放于句末。例:
To learn English well, he went to England.
為學好英語,他去了英國。
(He went to England to learn English well.)
7. He made his first push-pins by himself.
他自己做了他的第一批圖釘。
make sth. by oneself 獨自做……,可以表示為:
make sth. alone
He made his bed by himself(alone)

own,動詞"擁有"可以用has"替換"
owner n. "擁有者,物主"。例:
The owner of the house is Li.
這家房子的主人是李。
Li owns the house.
李擁有這個房子。
own還可以作形容詞,意為"自己的",常和形容詞性物主代詞連用,例:
This is our own room.
這是我們自己的房間。
Unit 4
1. Whats wrong with Danny?
丹尼怎么了?
Whats wrong with…?用來尋問某人某物有什么病或出什么毛病了,也可以表示為"Whats the matter with…?或Whats the trouble?"例:
Whats wrong / the matter with the boy?
Whats the boys trouble?
2. I dont feel well.
我感覺不舒服。
well是形容詞,用來指身體好,feel是系詞,和well構成系表結構,表示身體狀況的還有:feel bad / feel terrible(感覺很差)等。
另外well還常作副詞,指做得好。例:
He sings well.
他唱歌好。
He draws very well.
他畫畫非常好。
3. My head hurts 我頭疼。
說有什么病可以用"身體部位+ hurts"或pain或have等詞來表示。例:
My stomach hurts.
我肚子疼。
I have a pain in my stomach.

have(got)+病癥,常表示得什么病,例:
have(got)a cold / fever / cough / headache

be made of由……制成,常用于被動語態,主語為制成物,賓語為原材料。例:
The chair is made of wood.

如果制成物看不出原材料,常用詞組be made from。例:
The book is made from wood.
這本書由木頭制成。
5. Eating foods from grain gives you vitamins, minerals and fibre.

eating不可以改為eat,因為動詞不可以作主語,所以用eating形式,即動名詞,動名詞(或短語)作主語時動詞用單數形式。例:
Taking exercise helps you keep healthy.
運動幫你保持健康。
6. The more you move your feet, the more healthy you will be.
你越愛運動,你就會越健康。
越……,就越……,常用"the +比較級,the +比較級"結構。
前者是狀語從句,后者是主句,如果主句是將來時,從句要用一般現在時。例:
The more, the better.越多越好。
The more food he eats, the fatter he will be.
他吃得越多,就越胖。
7. He has been away for three days now!
他已經三天沒上學了。(離開三天了)。
be away,離開,不在,是leave的延續詞,類似的還有:
catch a cold(結束性)→have a cold
fall ill(結束性)→be ill 例:
He has caught a cold.他感冒了。
He has had a cold for a week.
他感冒一周了。
He fell ill last Friday.
他上周五病了。
He has been ill for five days.
他病五天了。
8. I rested and drank plenty of water.
我休息而且喝很多水。
plenty of許多,大量,相當于lots of或a lot of,后可加可數名詞復數或不可數名詞。
He has plenty of time to watch TV.
他有很多時間看電視。
There are plenty of shops on either side of the street.
街兩面有許多商店。
9. Could you open the door for me?
請為我打開門好嗎?
Would (wiu/, Could)you + do…?用來表示請求對方為自己做某事。would / could / will不表時態。
Would / Could you go and get me some chalk?
去給我拿些粉筆來好嗎?
10. She is unable to do many things.
她不能做很多事情。
unable不能的,un-表示前綴,表示否定。例:
happy → unhappy不開心的,fair→unfair不公平的
此句可以表示為:
She cant do many things.
She is not able to do many things.
11. Im feeling much better.
我感覺好多了。
much相當于a lot,常用來修飾比較級,還有even, far, a little, a bit等也可以放于比較級前,而very, too, quite, so, much too等常用來修飾原級。例:
On Monday I felt very bad, but now I feel much better.
周一我感覺很差,但現在感覺好多了。
Unit 5
1. It is said that Professor Yuan is one of the richest people in China.
It is said that ...據說……,相當于People say that ...
例:It is said that the boy has joined the army.
據說那個孩子已經參軍了。
2. The grain of this new type of rice would be as big as peanut so that farmers could rest in the cool shadows of big rice plants.
這種新水稻的粒子將會和花生一樣大,以便農民可以在這種水稻的陰涼下休息。
as ... as ..."和……一樣",表示程度相同的比較。
This box is as big as that one.
這個箱子和那個一樣大。
so that 表示目的,譯為"以便……,目的是……"。
He stood on a chair so that he could reach the top of the tree.
他站在椅子上以便能夠夠到樹的頂部。
Unit 6
1. Why dont you pretend to be Jennys friend?
為什么你不假裝Jenny的朋友呢?
Why dont you do ...? (Why not do ... ?)
Why dont you go to see him tomorrow?

2. Dont be scared.別害怕。
此句是祈使句,由系詞be開頭,后常加形容詞,構成系表結構。
例:Be careful!當心!
Be quick!快點!
否定形式在句首加dont。
例:Dont be late for school!上學別遲到。
Dont be nervous!別緊張。
3. Shall I call an ambulance?
我可以叫救護車嗎? (我叫救護車好嗎?)
Shall I (we) do sth ... ?我(們)做……好嗎?
用來表示請求,自己所做的事情征得對方的意見,是否同意。
例:Shall I get you some water?
我給你打點水好嗎?
4. There is something wrong with my arm.
我的手臂有毛病。
There is something wrong with sb. or sth.某人某物有毛病
There is something wrong with my watch.
我的手表壞了。
否定式為:There is not anything wrong with ... .
There is nothing wrong with ... .
5. It took me three months to recover.
我用了三個月時間恢復。
It takes sb. some time to do sth.某人花費多長時間做某事
it是形式主語,真正的主語是動詞不定式"to do sth."。
take 隨時態改變,sb. 用賓格。
例:It took me two hours to clean my house yesterday.
我昨天用了兩個小時打掃房子。
It will take me another two days to finish the work.
完成這項工作我還要兩天時間。
初三英語語法的句子
根據句子的結構可以分為簡單句、并列句和復合句。
一、簡單句:只有一個主語(或并列主語)和一個謂語(或并列謂語)。根據句子的結構,又可分為五種:1、 S + V. 主語 + 不及物動詞。 2、S + V + O. 主語 + 及物動詞 + 賓語。
3、S + V + P. 主語 + 連系動詞 + 表語。
4、S + V + IO + DO. 主語 + 及物動詞 + 間接賓語 + 直接賓語。可以轉換成:
主語 + 直接賓語 + for 或 to + 間接賓語。
常見的這類動詞有: buy, bring, make , choose, get sth. for sb.
teach, give, pass, hand(傳遞), show, offer, sell, lend, take, send sth to sb.
5、S + V + O + C. 主語 + 及物動詞 + 賓語 + 賓語補足語。
二、并列句:常由or, but, and, so for等詞將兩個簡單句連接,表示轉折,遞進等關系。
三、復合句:包括賓語從句、狀語從句、定語從句等。
1、賓語從句 掌握以下內容:引導賓語從句的引導詞; 掌握賓語從句的語序;
掌握賓語從句的時態一致
2、狀語從句
(1)時間狀語從句的連詞有:when, while, before, after, until (till), since, as soon as等。
時間狀語從句中通常用一般現在時代替一般將來時。
注意下列幾個詞的區別:
when: 當……的時候 指一點時間,表示短暫性動作,指一段時間,表示持續性的動作
什么時候 引導賓語從句
while:表示持續性的動作或狀態,具有對比的含義, 意為 “然而”
as: 表示從句的動作與主句的動作同時發生,一般與延續性動詞連用. “一邊…一邊…” 隨著..
As we walked, we talked. As time went by, we knew each other better and better.
(2)原因狀語從句 because(因為), since(既然), as (由于), for(因為)
(3)條件狀語從句if(如果) unless(除非)
在條件狀語從句中,用一般現在時代替一般將來時.
(4)結果狀語從句so + 形容詞 / 副詞 + that + 句子 such + 名詞 + that…
such + a (an) + 形容詞+ 名詞= so + 形容詞+ a (an) + 名詞
(5)目的狀語從句so that, in order that, (in order to do sth. so as to do sth)
(6)比較狀語從句as…as… than, not as / so … as…
(7)讓步狀語從句though, although, even though…
3、定語從句: 修飾名詞或代詞的從句, 放在名詞或代詞的后面.
通常: 名詞(人) + who / whom / that + 句子 名詞(物) + which / that + 句子
(1)引導非限制性定語從句時,必須用 which 指物, 不用 that.
I have lost my bag, which I like very much.
(2)關系代詞在從句中做主語時,從句動詞的單復數形式和先行詞保持一致.
Do you know the man who is standing against the door?
(3)下列幾種情況只能用 that 引導賓語從句:
先行詞是不定代詞 all, few, little, much, something, nothing, anything等, 如:
All that we have to do is to practise more. There is nothing that I can do for you.
先行詞被序數詞或形容詞最高級修飾時,如: The first letter that I got from him is kept well.
先行詞被all, any, every, each, few, little, no, some等修飾時,如:
I have eaten up all the food that you gave me.
(4)由when, where, why 引導的定語從句
I don’t know the reason why he was late. This is the place where I have lived for five years.
I’ll never forget the day when I met Mr. Li for the first time.
先行詞是表示地點時,如果從句的動詞是及物的,就用that (which),
如果動詞不及物,就用where引導. This is the house that he has lived in for five years.
This is the house where he has lived for five years.
